Human Life in General

Instead of beginning with the birth of a human let's skip to the real talk. It's about the bubble everyone is in. You see, what all successful people do is pursue what they find meaningful and that's pretty much it. When, I was younger and a little more naive than I am right now, I used to think; wow, these people have it figured out all and they're set. Well, as I grow a little older, I see it's not really the case. Everyone has challenges in their lives, of course the magnitude of the challenge varies with the progression in life but everyone is working for something at least. You may think Bill Gates can chill out and just enjoy life, but you see even he's not idle; he is involved in helping the poor in Africa because once you achieve that level of success, siting idle becomes a thing of the past. You get contentment by working and you find out new endeavors to pursue.

the shers blogThink about identity from a very naive perspective. What is identity? You may think it to be the literal description of the type of a person. But if you pay attention closely, how was the "type" formed? It's nothing but the accumulation of his experiences which he picked up from his surroundings. Although everyone has certain traits that preexist in them, but initially we're too immature to notice them and hence we pickup whatever we see from the environment around us and this is not only valid when we're young, this applies even we grow up. It's no wonder that they say "You're an average of 5 people you spend most of your time with". You see, no one is born  genius; yes, some are in a better circumstance than others but they've their share of effort to put in. This in no way means that everyone can shoot for the highest aim and achieve it, it's a lie that people tell you. No, you cannot become anything you want. Period. It is only possible it you're passionate about it. There is a big difference between the two. You may want to become a pilot, join the army or n no. of other things, those are desires not passion. In any field, when going gets tough and you're failing everyday but still you're happy when you go to sleep that you've invested your time in something that you find meaningful, that is your passion.

Now, the point I want to make is, just like you've choices in ice-cream flavors, people have different things they find value in. Hence, they invest time and pursue that; regardless of what others might think. Because after all, we're given one life, does it really matter if X even though being a very good friend of Y and also a well-paid software engineer, but Y thinks X's to be a slave of an MNC and prefers his own life of being a part time freelancer and an artist instead of have no "real" life like X? No, neither of them are wrong in their place. Both of them are pursuing what they find value in. But, if we compare them side by side or take a side of either of X or Y, that's when the complication arises. Judging people is bad and if this is bad; the entire notion of society's pressure of living up to their expectations goes to the trash can. I hope this provided you with some perspective.

Footnotes:

Okay, writing fiction turned out to be a very difficult task compared to writing non-fiction, I actually wanted to write fiction from my previous post itself but couldn't frame a story. Same is the case today and even thought to give it a try no matter how bad it maybe. But, let's keep it for November's post and this one is about Human Life in General, basically an outlook at the timeline of a person. The point made was that judging people is bad, we're too good at it; and the next post will be on judging ourself is also not worth it because we're an expert at self sabotage too.
